One of my biggest dreams has always been to be a successful writer of original lesbian fiction, but what is the measure of ‘success’? Is it the number of books you’ve sold? How much money you’ve made? The number of adoring fans you’ve picked up along the way? Maybe it’s a little bit of everything. For me though, my measure of success is knowing that my writing has touched even one heart…has changed even one life. I’ve had people tell me that my poetry has left them in tears. I’ve had people tell me that my stories resonate with things that have happened in their own lives. That is how I measure my success.
THE MAGIC IN WORDS
Do you believe that there is magic in the written word? I do. I have no choice, because I have felt that magic myself. I felt it as a child, when words would transport me to strange, new worlds. I felt it the first time I read original lesbian fiction and knew that I wasn’t alone. I’ve felt it every day since then.
MYSTERIES AND WONDER
A dusty library, full of forgotten wonders and undiscovered relics. Shelves upon shelves of treasures, no longer hidden. If there is a heaven, and I am lucky enough to ascend, perhaps that’s what it will look like. Perhaps there is yet a chance of getting lost.
QUIET COMFORT
Is there anything more comforting in the face of the storm than a quiet place, a soft blanket, and a good book? Those paper pages have always been a sanctuary, a gateway to a world where I could escape , even for a short while, from the realities of life.
I’d like to say that I’m immune from wanting a pat on the back every now and then, but I can’t. Recognition is always nice. That’s why I created this website to showcase my personal work: my poetry, my original lesbian fiction, even the weird thoughts that sometimes cross my mind. These are the pieces that have been born from many a sleepless night. The Muses have lousy timing sometimes, but I forgive them because they speak from the heart. If any of the original lesbian fiction or poetry I’ve written happens to touch you, know that you’re making my dream become reality.
